The color black, primarily featured, conveys a sense of strength and power. The Magic Gaming logo incorporates elements from the NBA Magic team’s logo, including the identifiable colors of Magic Black and Magic Silver and the iconic basketball, while providing an edgier, more mysterious feel that captures the essence and identity of the NBA 2K League team. The logo also encompasses key values that are important to the overall MSE brand, including a community-first approach, inclusivity and technological innovation. The “Monumental” spaces reflect the inclusion into the larger MSE family, while paying tribute to the Washington Monument, a prominent feature of the DC skyline. Fans and supporters will quickly recognize a commitment to the city through both the incorporation of “District” into the formal name, as well as the three stars that pay homage to the District of Columbia flag.
The identity for Wizards District Gaming draws inspiration from the Washington Wizards’ brand.
The team logos were developed in consultation with RARE Design out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who collaborated with each team on their respective brand. We’re excited to release the next six official team logos for the NBA 2K League: Wizards District Gaming, Magic Gaming, Heat Check Gaming, Jazz Gaming, Celtics Gaming, and Blazer5 Gaming.
